Enter a scene and decide what happens next

A fantasy gives you a situation to respond to. Before you begin, work out your role, the people present and the decision the opening leaves for you.

Choose a premise you want to answer

Groups Only finds scenarios with more than one companion. A group can contain up to ten companions, so a clear starting cast helps the conversation stay readable.

  1. Switch the collection to Fantasies.
  2. Narrow the results by style or tags, and read the scenario rather than its title alone.
  3. Begin the chat with an action or question that fits the opening.

Make it clear who should speak

Choose speaker selects a particular companion's next reply. Auto hands that choice back to the conversation. Address a character by name when a question is meant for them.

Adding another companion to a one-to-one chat permanently changes it into a group. Removing the addition later does not restore the original chat type.

Write a problem, not the other player's answer

Give the cast a location and an immediate reason to act. Let the greeting stop before it decides what the reader thinks, says or does.

For example, two adult neighbours open a shared storage room and find a suitcase neither admits to owning. One wants to leave it alone; the other has noticed a familiar luggage tag. That difference gives your first reply somewhere to go.

Useful answers

Questions: Fantasies & group roleplay

How is a fantasy different from a companion profile?

A companion defines a fictional person. A fantasy also establishes a situation and your place in it, sometimes with a group rather than one other speaker.

How do group conversations choose a reply?

Use Auto to let the conversation choose, or select a named companion through Choose speaker. Group characters can respond to you and to one another.

Can I give roleplay directions outside my character's dialogue?

A concise OOC note can establish a scene change or clarify who is present. Continue from that new situation and check the following reply for consistency.

Will a new scene already know my earlier story?

Not automatically. Supply the relationships, previous events and saved details that the new conversation needs instead of relying on a different chat's history.
